Sometimes the smallest, simplest tools are the most versatile. I love the curve of the bowl scraper, to clean out every bit of batter from a bowl of any size, and you can really play around with the look of your frosted cakes and squares with the serrated cake comb.

Two little tools that make baking easier – used for scraping bowls or decorating cakes.

Two indispensable tools for the home baker

  • The pastry and bowl scraper allows you to spread batters into pan, spread frosting onto cakes and scrape every last bit of batter or dough from your mixing bowl
  • The silicone scraper has an iron core for strength yet the edges are flexible enough to contour to the shape of your bowl
  • The cake comb allows you to add textures and patterns to your cakes and other treats
  • Both silicone and plastic materials are FDA food grade and BPA free
  • Silicone is temperature safe up to 445°F/230°C
  • Plastic is temperature safe up to 212°F/100°C
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Made in China

anna's top tips

  • To add a pattern to the side of your cake, frost the top and sides of your cake (on a cake wheel or lazy Suzan is best). Hold the cake comb flush against the cake and spin the cake around as you keep the comb on a 45 degree angle, moving from the bottom to top, creating the pattern.
  • When practicing combing patterns on your frosted cakes or squares, remember that all mistakes are erasable – just spread the frosting to level it and start again.
