digital kitchen thermometer

5.43 x 1.26 x 0.5 inch/13.80 x 3.20 x 1.4 cm

Available at The Bay.

I count on precise temperature, especially when making candy or Italian Buttercream.  Unlike a thermometer that latches onto a pot and that measures just in one place, I like that I can move the thermometer around the pot to ensure I am getting an accurate read.

Instantly reads the interior temperatures of meats, and can be used to check temperatures when making candy or heating oil for frying.

  • An LCD screen displays the temperature up to 482°F/250°C
  • The thermometer includes a foldable 4.0 inch/10.16 cm stainless steel temperature probe
  • Stainless steel casing provides durability and resists corrosion
  • Powered by 1 x LR44 battery (included)
  • Wipe with damp cloth or run probe under hot running water and wipe dry
  • Made in China

anna's top tips

  • This thermometer has so many uses, beyond checking sugar temperatures when making candy.  Check the doneness of your roasts and steaks, check the temperature of oil when frying, and use this when tempering chocolate.
  • You can even use this thermometer to check the temperature of “room temperature” cream cheese or butter, which should be 68°F/20°C
